The Union BIO (for YAF – May/June 2011 Featured Artists of the Month)
The Union Band currently consists of three musicians:
Chris Longo is the drummer . He began drumming when he was 7 and has taken only 2 lessons ! At the young age of 12 Chris has played out over 75 times. He has opened up for "Limelight" , and the "Sundown Band" to name just a few.
Joseph Hoefer is the Bass player. He has been playing since he was 5 years old , he started playing with his first band at 8 years old , his musical influences are Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Les Claypool from Primus . Joseph also has taught himself to play drums .
Cal Kehoe is the guitarist. He has began teaching himself the guitar since he was 10 years old. His musical influences range from Jimi Hendrix ,John Frusciante and Derek Trucks.
The three kids have become great friends and enjoy writing and rehearsing original music and putting their unique sound to covers of some of rocks classic songs. Together they make up a powerful Rock Trio. Union can be seen playing out in the Connecticut and New York area.
