Trista Wheaton is a sixteen-year-old girl with moxie and is a lovable firecracker. Everyone that sees her always wants to know her, and everyone that knows her always has a smile. Her performances have been described as captivating, exciting, and mystical. Younger fans and peers have called her inspiring and admire her drive to follow her plans for her future. Trista spent the first fifteen years of her life in upstate New York, near a small city called Canandaigua in the beautiful Fingers Lakes region. She developed a love for music and drama at the age of five in a small Christian school in Naples, NY. In the fourth grade, Trista started performing in a group called Sonrise Praise Kids, a regional ministry for children. She had the best time acting, dancing, and singing with a great group of talented kids and dedicated adults performing mini-musicals with a gospel message. From then on, she sang with her school and church choirs and pursued music lessons from local musicians. Trista also had fun competing for 3 years at her school in what was called Canandaigua Idol, and won second place the first year and first place the next two years. When I was in kindergarten I was in a play and that was the first time I was ever on stage, recalls Trista. My first group vocal performance was when I was 10, with Sonrise Praise. But my first Solo Vocal Performance was the Canandaigua Idol contest, when I was 12 years old. I also did my first Chorus solo that year. This experience gave her the confidence to audition and participate in other local singing competitions. She also sang at the local VA and coffee houses. Too young at 13 to audition for American Idol, Trista competed in the Colgate Country Showdown and won at the local level. Judges Ken Somerville and his brother Barry are singers/songwriters active in the music industry and they offered to coach her. After that she sang wherever she could. She made some other good friends at the radio station, WDNB Thunder 102, that sponsored the Colgate Country Showdown in Sullivan County, New York. It is because of them that she was one of the opening acts for Craig Morgan and sang at Bethel Woods before Terri Clark, Gary Allan, and Trace Adkins performed! Trista, her parents and three younger siblings moved to Nashville, Tennessee in July 2008 to pursue her dream of becoming a recording artist. Trista is currently working on writing her own songs, learning the piano, and working with voice coach Brett Manning and Chris Keller at Singing Success & Brett Mannings Studios. She loves all kinds of music from country to worship and everything in between. Trista says that she enjoys singing pop-rock & blues music because of the challenging vocals and the freedom of expression.

Take four very different kids: Jessica, 16, lead vocals and bass, WOW Player, a Northerner who likes Southern Rock Cody, 17, lead guitar and backup vocals, a blues man through and through since he was 9 but also likes hip hop Cam, 16, drums, hardcore music lover with plugs in his ears Andy, 15, keys, track and lacrosse player, who likes just about all kinds of music .put them together in a band for three years ...touring New England from small venues to large...living hilarious, sad, boring, and exciting moments ...creating memories for their audience and you get a heavy modern sound with a hint of classic rock. And the songs. The songs tell stories. The new CD has tracks that tell stories of escaping, trusting someone to always be there, hate, hoping for a friend to be OK, and of losing a love until the summertime. When you listen, you will hear technical double-kick drumbeats, mad guitar solos, complementing keys, and clean melodic vocals with some rasp thrown in when needed. The whole story has not yet been written. Discover them and help write the story... Youth Arts Forum welcomes the Jessica Prouty Band from MA.

Hi, may name is Luke Jackson and i am a 16 year old singer songwriter from Canterbury, Kent in the United kingdom. I started writing songs about 2 years ago. I regularly performs live in venues across Kent, London and now all over England. I love playing to a live audience and have been lucky enough to play in some great venues. My inspiration comes from all sorts of music from English Folk, Americana, Blues, Pop, Indie and Rock. Youth Arts Forum is proud to welcome Luke to the organization.

I am a 14 year old singer / songwriter. I am inspired by different circumstances and situations in life and my surroundings. But, especially, the great people I have met in my life so far! Many ask "How did you get discovered?" It was lots of hard work, lessons, practice and some luck; right place, right time. This quote my dad sent me tells it all when it comes to luck! "I've found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take more chances. Be more active. Show up more often. "My Hobbies are that I love to sing and play guitar. Softball and hanging with friends is also a favorite hobbie of mine. For movies I love Titanic. I also really enjoy the shows Glee, House and Degrassi ! I LOVE the Twilight books. Whitney is headlining the Youth Rock Live Tour for Simon Malls this summer 2010 and her voice and stage presence are simply awesome. Youth Arts Forum is proud to have her as a member.

Youth arts Forum would like to welcome NTOR as the newest members. We look for some awesome music from these kids in the future. The NTOR or Noxious Total Overdose of Reality formed around a neighborhood nucleus of keyboardist, Jenny Aguiar with Wyatt Sempliner on bass and Kain Summerlin on lead guitar and quickly expanded to include drummer, Will Berger and vocalist, Joe Panico. They have appeared at such diverse venues as The Crash Manson in Manhattan, The Nutty Irishman in Farmingdale, Harborfest and the Grande Festa Italiana, and of course, the talent show at Weber Middle School, where they will be 8th graders. Jenny, who started taking piano lessons at the age of 4, is also a track star. Kain picked up the guitar at the age of 8 and also is a very talented sketch artist and animator. Wyatt, initially torn between drums vs. guitar, ended up on the bass guitar which was a perfect addition to the band and really suited him well. Will was always tapping out rhythms on anything he could slap his hands on as a small child and now has grown to such amazing heights over the years as the NTOR drummer. He is also interested in filmmaking and editing. Joe Panico is also a track superstar and of course lead singer of NTOR. The band's love of music has held them on a path of discovery picking up classic rock covers of groups like The Beatles, Journey and The Police along with punk, alternative and even electro-pop sounds from the likes of MGMT, Phoenix and OAR. NTOR has created their own compositions, which is thought by some to invoke the flavor of the Velvet Underground. Keep an ear out for more original NTOR songs to come.

I am very excited and proud to have Talan, T Man Latz as the newest member of YAF. His playing and energy speak volumes about his playing ability. Welcome T Man. Tallan Noble Latz, now 10 years old, is considered by musical standards a triple threat. Tallan is a guitar player/singer/songwriter that seems to be destined for the big stage. He has been playing music since the age of 3, picking up the guitar for the first time at 4 and finally getting serious about the guitar at age 5. Tallan has been leading his own band (The Tallan Noble Latz Band) since the age of 7. Everyone is talking about this young guitar slinger who possesses an old musical soul, the way he carries and conducts himself on stage is something that just has to be seen. As one reporter put it, ?When T-Man takes the stage, people stop what they're doing and collectively stare. People entering the room look up and stop as if their shoes were suddenly glued to the floor, not moving again until the song is over, when they reflexively break into wild shouts and applause. Everyone is saying the same thing ?You gotta see this kid called T-Man!!!? Tallan first started playing out in public at the age of 7. He would attend every open jam he could in the SE WI area. The first big name to invite Tallan to jam with him on stage was Walter Trout. Tallan being just 7 at the time was on cloud nine. Since then Tallan has been invited on stage or played with musicians such as Chris Duarte, Joe Bonamassa, Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Walter Trout, Albert Cummings and Hubert Sumlin. When Tallan was 8, he was invited to perform with 2 very notable musicians, the first being Jackson Browne and a few weeks later Tallan was sharing the stage with Mr. Les Paul. In just a few short years Tallan has had the opportunity to perform at many venues around the country from BB King’s in NYC’s Times Square to The Grove in Anaheim, CA. Tallan has many favorites but his all-time favorite is probably Alpine Valley in WI. Alpine Valley is right by his house and Tallan had the chance to perform their on his 8th birthday. Alpine Valley is significant for Tallan because that is where one of his heroes lost his life, meaning Stevie Ray Vaughan. He actually paid tribute there that day by performing The Sky is Cryin’ and dedicated it to Stevie. Not a dry eye in the place. Tallan lives to be performing for people, it was evident early on at age 3, whenever anyone was over to his house he would grab a microphone and turn on music videos and perform the song for everyone to enjoy. Since then Tallan has played many festivals around the country from Jimi Hendrix's 67th Birthday Bash in Times Square to yearly gigs at Summerfest in Milwuakee, WI. But his favorite would have to be performing at the SRV Ride and Concert in Dallas, TX. Back in 2008, Tallan even co-headlined the event with Bugs Henderson.

All members of this newest band are 14 years old.  There are 3 girls and 2 boys.  They have a website at http://fyverock.com/ and we invite all of you to stop by and see some of their outstanding work. The band members are from Winthrop, Maine.  A small town that centers around a Woolen Mill that is no longer running. ,Kristen Veayo  and Twin, Katherine ,  Danielle Pease, Declan Chu and  Aaron St.Pierre make up the band. All are 14 years old. They said, “Our parents have really given us freedom to learn and grow musically in a way that we like. We all are passionate about Music!” It’s refreshing to hear kids talk about how they love what they do and their struggles to make their dreams happen. “We are all 14 year old  students,  We feel  it is pretty rare for kids our age to play together like we do.  Fyve has a girl drummer and a girl guitar player who are identical twins! This sets us up with timing since the twins have played music together for 6 years.” We wish them well and support them and their musical dreams.

Exceptionally talented - well beyond their years in terms of ability and skill levels - they have some videos on you tube already - under Corbin Bros. The latest ones are from Jan. 2009 - the bass player has won the Vancouver Bass Shredding competition for under 19 for two years - once at 11 years old and this year at 13 years ( and did not compete when he was 12) We are proud and excited to have them as the newest members of Youth Arts Forum. We look for some even more outstanding work in the future. Stop back often to check their progress and the progress of all of the young artists.
