2009 Performing Artist of Note

Josh (9) and J.T.(7) are brothers that discovered music this past Feb (2009). Many of the young musicians on you tube inspired them. We thought they should do the same. Finally they began music lessons this past summer (2009). They have decided to name the band "My Brothers Fault" Their young age and their love for music are inspiring. We look forward to many years of growth and music from the kids. Welcome to Youth Arts Forum.

Alexander Marino has been playing the clarinet for 5 years. and the saxophone for 3 years. Alex writes, I play the soprano, alto and tenor saxophones. I am a member of my school marching band, jazz band, and orchestra. I am also a part of all-area orchestra, which consists of the best musicians in the city schools (3 schools). I am also a member of the Wyoming Valley Concert Band. This is a professional concert band which consists mainly of adults. I also am a member of the music ministry at my church, and sometimes play at church weddings. I have also started a jazz/rock band called Fusion Experience. We want to welcome Alex to Youth Arts Forum. We are proud to have him as the newest member.

12 year old Zach Ludlam started playing guitar about two years ago. Zach is a great kid, an A student and what many have called "an old soul” We are proud to have Zach  as a valued Youth Arts Forum member.

Christopher Skeens is a 10 year old drummer who is showing some wonderful talent at playing the drums. Chris will be preforming at The National Underground in NYC on Jan 23rd. Alex is currently in a band and says he is learning a lot and have fun playing. It's this enthusiasm and desire to learn and get better that makes Alex and all the kids "special" artists. Check back often to see the progress of Alex and all the kids.

Matt  is a 14 year old guitarist and singer who has a true passion for the blues. His playing comes from his 14 year old playing skills and an "old soul" spirit. All are 14 years old. They said, “Our parents have really given us freedom to learn and grow musically in a way that we like. We all are passionate about Music!” It’s refreshing to hear kids talk about how they love what they do and their struggles to make their dreams happen. “We are all 14 year old  students,  We feel  it is pretty rare for kids our age to play together like we do.  Fyve has a girl drummer and a girl guitar player who are identical twins!
